The Future - it is about to happen!! :
NW Regional Council (England Athletics) - Elections.
Congratulations to BobLynch who was successful in being elected. Also elected to the North West Council were Charles Gains, Ron McAndrew, Bob Welfare, Shaun O’Donnell and Matt Barnes.
The North of England AA is developing a constitution for a new organisation which will be responsible for competition only at Northern level. The proposals, after discussion and approval by the General Committee (possibly Sept 10th) will then be put to clubs at an EGM towards the end of October. The role for NoEAA beyond that will be to ensure that its financial reserves are used in the best interests of athletics in the North.
