CROSS COUNTRY NEWS

Prior to the CCAA meeting held at Frodsham on 11 April, the AGM of the Cheshire County X-C League took place.  Sadly, the decision was taken to wind-up the League owing to the lack of personnel to help run it.  Cross Country competition in Cheshire now consists of:

Manchester & District and North Staffs. League (all ages); NW Sunday League (Seniors), Liverpool & District League (Seniors except for one race); Winsford and Stanney (school ages).

FELL RUNNING

The inter-county Fell race Championship is being held in conjunction with the Crowden Horseshoe race, near Glossop on 13 May.  If any Cheshire qualified athlete wishes to be considered for the County team would they please contact Tony Hulme as soon as possible :

tony@bearsports.freeserve.co.uk

Tony is looking to hold the Cheshire Fell Running championships in a different event from the last few years on the eastern edge of the County probably in mid to late October.
