CALLING ALL POLE VAULTERS – Rod Grant-Smith (Macclesfield) would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in learning the basics of Pole Vaulting during the winter months.  Essentially, this is aimed at beginners (Under 16s) and would involve indoor sessions at a number of venues.  If you are interested, contact Rod directly so that he can gauge the level of interest.  His email address is: leogrant@tiscali.co.uk Cheshire has few Pole Vaulters and England Athletics are keen to invest in the development of this discipline in the County.  There is a lot of potential vaulting talent, but both coach support and the provision of indoor venues are needed.  Any coaches who would like to discuss this issue further should also contact Rod.

Northern Athletics have issued a Directory of Tracks covering England (plus a few in Scotland).
